I usually take a M/L in women's shirts but opted for a L with this shirt because I wanted to ensure it was loose like the picture. Even after shrinking a tiny bit in the dryer, this shirt was still loose so I probably could have gotten a M and it still would be comfortable. The fabric is very soft and light. I was very pleased with this purchase.
